Bradley Manning: Freedom and Justice for all

Manning is a political prisoner and his treatment is abhorrent. I consider him an inspiring character, one who acted on conscience at great personal risk and detriment for what he considered moral and just. He should be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize. Meanwhile the criminals that caused the 2008 economic collapse are given government jobs (and personal tax free sales of their ill-gotten assets) with Obama's approval. Obama, knows about Manning all too well, and while he polishes his Nobel, he should look into the reflection and consider the inspiring rhetoric that gave him so much power.
It seems that anyone in the world that challenges the US's right to have a monopoly on local and global power is either jailed, assassinated, targeted as an enemy-of-the-state. Why would Assange be any different?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incarceration_in_the_United_StatesThe United States has the highest documented incarceration rate in the world.[3][4] The U.S. incarceration rate on June 30, 2009 was 748 inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents, or 0.75%.[5] The USA also has the highest total documented prison and jail population in the world.[3][6][7]  ...According to the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) 7,225,800 people at year end 2009 were on probation, in jail or prison, or on parole — about 3.1% of adults in the U.S. resident population, or 1 in every 32 adults.[8][9]
Of course not to forget capital punishment, but that is for another day ...so much for the land of the free.
